News > EICAS joins the Mechatronics Innovation Pole

EICAS Automazione S.p.A. is glad to announce its participation to the New Regional Mechatronics and Advanced System of Production Pole.
The new Regional Mechatronics and Advanced System of Production Pole (MESAP) was presented during the press conference kept on the 17th of April, 2009 at the Unione Industriale of Torino.
It is composed of 70 subjects among universities and companies distributed within all the Piedmont territory. They represent the Piedmont region in the mechatronics industry and work actively in:

• mechatronics of product;
• mechatronics of process;
• advanced production systems.

The Mechatronics Pole represents the first Italian experience that involves a whole region in this kind of projects. It has been sponsored by the European Community with the aim to enhance and to exploit all the possibilities offered in this field by the local companies.
Among the pole goals there are several research and development projects to perform in collaboration with the MESAP partners and/or partnership of excellence.
