The objective of the ADIUVARE project (Adaptive and flexible welding cell through advanced vision systems and augmented reality) was to design, develop and test an innovative, flexible and adaptable area for manual spot-welding lines to be used in vehicles small batch production through the use of intelligent vision systems and advanced augmented reality techniques.
EICAS was in charge to develop a high hierarchical supervisor element in the welding process for helping and significantly assisting the welding operator, with the goal to increase the performance and guarantee the process repeatability.
This video shows the successful application of the ADIUVARE system installed at ISI Italia, in a real industrial environment within an experimental welding cell. The video shows how ADIUVARE assists an operator during the welding phases.
